DuoEdit is a plain-text and rich-text editor for iPhone and iPad, developed by Raymond Delsol.
Get in touch
Email accounts@dockersinn.co.uk with “DuoEdit support” in the subject.
Include your device model, iOS or iPadOS version, DuoEdit version and the steps that led to the issue. Please use a non-sensitive example instead of sending private documents.
Getting started
Create a document
Choose Create Document in the workspace, or choose a template on the larger layout.
Open a file from Files or iCloud Drive
Choose Browse to open the system Files picker, then select a TXT or RTF document. Available locations can include On My iPhone or iPad, iCloud Drive and installed file providers. iCloud Drive needs to be enabled on your device.
Format your writing
Rich-text documents support fonts, sizes, colours, bold, italic, underline and paragraph formatting. Plain-text documents do not store rich formatting.
Save, share or export
Document changes save automatically. Use the document’s three-dot menu to share or export a copy. Exporting as plain text removes formatting from the exported copy. Keep backups of important files.
Find and replace text
Use the search button in the document header. Find and Replace options are available from the system Find controls.
Return to the workspace
Open the document’s three-dot menu and choose Close.
